Everything is free while QuietDrop is in beta. Paid plans come later, and beta creators hear about them first.
Questions
Is this allowed by Instagram?
Yes. QuietDrop uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login, Meta’s official way for apps to answer comments and messages. Automated replies to people who commented or wrote first are what that API is for.
What do I need?
An Instagram professional account (Creator or Business), which you can switch to for free in Instagram’s settings. Nothing to install: you sign in with Instagram and set up your first automation in a couple of minutes.
Does QuietDrop see my Instagram password?
No. You log in on Instagram’s own page and allow QuietDrop to read comments and send messages for that account. You can remove that access any time in Instagram’s settings.
Can a viral post get expensive?
No. There’s no price per contact. The Free plan stops starting new conversations at its monthly limit, and Creator has no limit apart from Instagram’s own.
What about privacy and GDPR?
Comment and message text is read for the keyword and not stored. Commenters’ usernames are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete everything any time. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is part of signing up.
Do I need Kit?
Only if you want emails to go to your list automatically. Without it, collected emails stay in QuietDrop and download as a CSV.
